Wonder Woman grew up in a high-ranking family from an isolated island colony off the coast of Breland. Apart from the occasional shipwreck or trading convoy, outsiders rarely visited and members of the colony rarely left.

As a teenager, she was tutored by Rivka, an old mage who had moved from the mainland after many years of military service. She and Rivka had a rather tense relationship at times—Rivka took the dangers of misused warlock powers very seriously, and was not inclined to tolerate beginners’ mistakes. Wonder Woman shares her mentor’s belief that warriors should use warlock powers to counteract those who would use them for evil, she doesn’t always appreciate Rivka’s strict insistence on discipline and detail. Now that Rivka is not actively supervising her training, Wonder Woman considers her a good friend. They communicate mostly by letter.

While Wonder Woman’s spells were at times amateurish and a trifle clumsy, Rivka felt she had enough potential to warrant further training. At her urging, Wonder Woman left home to enroll in Morgrave University where she is studying arcane magic, with a preference for radiance spells. She made the decision to follow the Star Pact after spending her sleepless first night at Morgrave watching the sky and finding constellations she remembered from home.

Wonder Woman is an unremarkable student in Morgrave, and her spells continue to fail miserably at times although she has improved greatly. Despite those difficulties, she is determined to keep learning until she is a competent warlock, and she will happily face any challenge without doubt or hesitation. Even though she has been at Morgrave for a few years now, she is still sometimes overwhelmed by the diverse nature and sheer scale of the city.

One of Wonder Woman’s professors recently suggested that she join his adventuring club, an offer that she was reluctant to accept at first. However, her professor insisted that she would be useful, and she enjoys practicing her skills outside the confines of the classroom even though she is secretly afraid of venturing yet further from home. Her unexpected success in the field may boost her confidence, but it is early yet to make such judgements.
